Lisa Tui: Live @ Orange Studio

LISATUIMUSIC

In cart Not available Out of stock

My favourite selection of songs recorded live at Orange Studio, Christchurch, to a sellout audience. Gary Easterbrook on Piano, Nikora James on Guitar and Double Bass player Alastair Wallace with vocal support by Haze Usmar. PLUS 'I wonder on you' and 'Comin' on Home' so your album will last a trip in the car.

Video's & Recordings

Thanks to Orange Studio, a hearty, generous audience and an awesome band crew we were able to record a number of songs to share from a live performance on the 24 th June.  Gary Easterbrook is on piano playing 'Down Port Lyttleton', written by myself and poet Lesley McKay.  A love story set in the magic of the Port.  Hmmm

Light Everywhere Concert
18 March 2017
@ THE XCHC
Christchurch

A special concert event hosting Lynn O'Brien on her travels through New Zealand.  With the support of Gary Easterbrook on keys and bass and the musical collective of the audience -the night was pure joy, collaborative, spontaneous and so much fun.

Comin' on Home

Comin' on home
was officially released on the 22 February 2017.  This day marked the 6th anniversary of the Christchurch earthquake that took 185 lives. Much of the central city is still to be rebuilt but alot has been done. It has become a hive of creative and innovative construction and enterprise but residents still feel the impact daily. Amidst the change, growth and chaos people continue their family lives.

The song is a letter from a mother requesting her adult son to come home now the city is safer.

I wonder on you
This song is from Lisa's first EP called 'Night Falls into Morning'.

Driving between Christchurch and Ashburton is a tedious stretch of road but if you catch the sun going down at the right time in the late afternoon its surreally beautiful.
